     II ALL-RUSSIA CAMP ON PHILIPPINE MARTIAL ARTS AND JEET KUNE DO
     Khadjokh (Kamennomostsky), Krasnodarsky kraj, Adygeya Republic, Russia

     We invite you to take part in the Second All-Russia Camp (with international participation) on the Philippine Martial Arts and Jeet Kune Do, which will be held in one of the most fascinating places of the Western Caucasus - in the valley of the Belaya River and Plateau Lagonaki. The Camp is organized by the Interregional Association of Progressive Martial Arts (and Jeet Kune Do) together with the Interregional Combat Arnis Federation (ICAF), with the purpose to unite the schools and enthusiasts practicing the Philippine martial arts in the CIS territory and abroad, to foster cooperation and exchange of experience in the progressive martial arts.
     The Program includes training on different schools of the Philippine martial arts (Arnis, Cerrada, Pekiti Tirsia, Kali), basic techniques of work with weapon (sticks, knives, machete, balisong) and without any (fight, blow techniques, pain effects), as well as master classes on Savat, Capoeira, Wing Chun, Kung Fu, Ai Ki Do, Kick Boxing, Tai Chi Chuan, Chi Gun, and fight demonstrations. The Cultural Program includes excursions to the Rufabgo Waterfalls, Azish Cave, trekking to the sea across the Lagonaki Plateau, mountaineering to the alps of Fisht and Oshten, and rest at seaside.

     The President of the "Regional Federation of the Philippine Martial Arts Arnis Escrima Kali and Jeet Kune Do" Mr. A.S. Furunzhiyev met with the President of the "Interregional Combat Arnis Federation" Mr. M.K. Ivanov.
     The parties have unanimously agreed that, with a view to develop the Philippine martial arts and to promote the Philippine culture in the territory of the Russian Federation, they need to coordinate their efforts, provide mutual information support and hold joint activities.
     The above accord has been corroborated by Agreement, which will be the basic document regulating the future relations between the Federations, with the aim to strengthen their ties.
     The leaders of the both Federations realize that only joint efforts and mutual support will bring more serious and stable results in the promotion, improvement and development of the Philippine martial arts schools. The leaders thus express hopes for a long-term fruitful cooperation.

It has been agreed, that since September 1, 2005 the ICAF Instructors will conduct trainings on a regular basis for the officers of the Special Purpose Militia Detachment (OMON GUVD) of Moscow.

     ICAF was rewarded by the Presidium of the Central Council of OGO VFCO "Dinamo" for their help in training the Personal Staff of the Security Ministries and Departments of Russia.

     The Instructors and pupils of ICAF took part in the Winter Camp on the Philippine Martial Arts and Jeet Kune Do in the Nizhny Novgorod Region (town of Kerzhenets, "Yuny Nizhegorodets" Rest House).
     The Camp Program included training on Arnis and Escrima Cerrada, knife fight techniques, Savat, Capoeira.
     Among the participants there were representatives from different clubs of Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow, Moscow region, Kazan', Ulan-Ude.
     Here is a comment by the Head of Kazan' club Mr. Damir Khasanov: "We liked the Winter Camp very much, its organization and trainings were at the highest level. We both had a good rest and got acquainted with Arnis, Escrima, Kali, Capoaira, Jeet Kune Do concept, knife technique. I recommend to everyone to join this very prospective current in Russia. There is a great future before it".

     A Day of the Philippine Culture was held in the State Museum of Oriental Culture in Moscow. The Program of the event included a lecture on traditions and culture of the Philippines, illustrated with photo- and video materials. The guests were particularly excited with the fighting demonstrations dedicated to the history of the Philippine martial arts development, from their rise to the present days. The performance gave a broad presentation of the ancient and modern currents of the Philippine martial culture. The above event has become a beginning of the joint large-scale program held by the feast' Organizers with object to promote the martial arts, which form an integral part of the original Philippine culture and helps to the development of mutual understanding between our two countries.

     An open seminar on the Philippine martial arts Arnis, Escrima, Kali was held under the guidance of Interregional Combat Arnis Federation (ICAF) and Association of Progressive Martial Arts. The Program of the seminar included: basis of the Philippine martial arts, work with pair sticks, techniques of disarmament, control and throws with help of stick and knife, seizure release, use of improvised means for self-defense, basis of knife fight, fencing with stick and knife, techniques of close fight by using resources of the whole body.

     Training and methodological seminar on close fight (Philippine martial arts and Jeet Kune Do) was held in the territory of UVD SZAO GUVD of Moscow (former base of the Moscow OMON) with the Instruction staff of the Security Ministries and Departments. The above seminar was organized by the VFSO "Dinamo" together with the President of Interregional Combat Arnis Federation (ICAF) Mr. M.K. Ivanov and Vice-President A.A. Karasyov. The ICAF Instructors are considering proposals for a long-term cooperation with security forces on training their staff.
